Mixtape Three - Birmingham

Lots of good new stuff this time around. This one’s for Mike Skinner.

Birmingham (This mixtape has been retired.)

  • The Streets – I Love You More (Than You Like Me). The new Streets album, Everything Is Borrowed is great, and a bit of a happy departure.
  • Throw Me The Statue – Ship. A new song that showcases a bit of a different direction. Great stuff.
  • Cold War Kids – Something Is Not Right WIth Me. Really digging the new Cold War Kids. Thanks to Lynn for the tip!
  • Kings Of Leon – Use Somebody. I’ve read mixed reviews of Only By The Night but I love it so far.
  • Built To Spill – You Were Right. One of my favorites amongst a plethora of amazing songs.
  • Ra Ra Riot – Each Year. Great, great, great.
  • Stars – A Thread Cut With A Carving Knife. The new Stars EP is really fun. Go see ‘em live.
  • The Dears – Disclaimer. More good stuff from a great band.
  • TV on the Radio – Love Dog. I’ve been jamming Dear Science, all week and it’s a great album. TV on the Radio keeps on getting better.
  • City and Colour – Hello I’m in Delaware. All summer I’ve been enraptured by Dallas Green. Here’s another great song from him.
