Mixtape Four - New Brunswick

This goes out to my current favorite band, The Gaslight Anthem.

New Brunswick (This mixtape has been retired.)

  • Johnny Foreigner – Lea Room. I really love this band. To me, they’re like Pretty Girls Make Graves meets The Divorce meets Los Campesinos!
  • The Faint – The Geeks Were Right. The Faint have lost a step, IMHO, but I’ve not completely jumped ship,
  • Friendly Fires – Paris. The Friendly Fires have a sound I really identify with. It’s modern, fun, and edgy.
  • Placebo – Every You, Every Me. One of my all time favorites.
  • The Gaslight Anthem – The ’59 Sound. I’m loving The Gaslight Anthem big time right now. Their new album is one of my favs so far this year.
  • Mike Doughty – Bottom of A Well (Subway Live). Great cut.
  • Ben Folds Feat. Regina Spektor – You Don’t Know Me. I’m so excited that Ben Folds had new material, let alone that he’s got Regina Spektor involved. Love.
  • Ra Ra Riot – Winter ’05. This one is for someone very special. (And The Rhumb Line is my fav album so far this year.)
  • Snow Patrol – If There’s a Rocket Tie Me to It. I need to listen to it more, but so far I’m loving the new Snow Patrol.
